Superfood Chocolate

There are plenty of health benefits from consuming raw chocolate AND superfoods, but did you know that it is also super easy to make superfood chocolate? Check out some options below to add a boost of vitality and nutrients to your diet!

Superfood Chocolate

Ingredients

  • Raw Chocolate- Cacao Paste
  • 1/2 cup cacao paste
  • 1/4 cup cacao butter
  • 203 tablespoons maple syrup or powdered erythritol
  • OR 1/2 teaspoon stevia or monk fruit extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • pinch sea salt
  • Raw Chocolate - Cacao Butter
  • 1 cup cacao butter
  • 6 tablespoons caco powder
  • 2-4 tablespoon sweetener of choice
  • pinch sea salt
  • Raw Chocolate - Coconut Oil
  • 3/4 cup coconut oil
  • 3/4 cup maple syrup or sweetener of choice
  • 1 cup raw cacao powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Raw White Chocolate
  • 160 grams cacao butter
  • 1 tablespoon smooth nut butter
  • 1 cup erythritol powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

How to Make It

Cacao Paste

Melt Caco paste and butter in a double boiled.

Add sweeteners to taste, vanilla and salt.

Place molds on a tray. Pour or spoon into silicone molds, paper cups or glass pan.

Let cool, then place in fridge or freezer until hardened.

Cacao Butter

Melt cacao paste and butter in a double boiler.

Add sweeteners to taste, and sea salt.

Place molds on a tray. Pour or spoon into molds, paper cups or glass pan.

Let cool, then place in fridge or freezer until hard.

Coconut Oil

Melt coconut oil on lowest heat setting or in a double boiler.

Whisk maple syrup or sweetener of choice

Whisk in raw cacao powder.

Pour chocolate mixture in chocolate molds.

Immediately place in freezer. Ingredients will separate if you are too slow.

These chocolate must be kept in the freezer all the time, or they will melt,

White Chocolate

Melt cacao butter in a double boiler.

Stir in nut butter, sea salt and vanilla.

Add sweetener to taste.

Place molds on a tray. Spoon into silicone molds.

Let cool, then place in fridge or freezer until hard.

 

 

 

 

 

Raw Chocolate – Cacao Paste

 

80g (½ cup) cacao paste

40g (¼ cup) cacao butter

2-3 tbsp maple syrup or powdered erythritol

Or ¼-½ tsp stevia or monk fruit extract

½ tsp vanilla extract

Pinch sea salt

 

1. Melt cacao paste and butter in a double broiler

2. Add sweeteners to taste, vanilla and sea salt.

3. Add superfoods to taste

4. Place molds on a tray.  Pour or spoon into silicone molds, paper cups, or glass pan

5. Let cool, then place in fridge or freezer until hard (20 min)

Raw Chocolate – Cacao butter

 

100g (1 cup) cacao butter

6 Tbsp cacao powder

2-4 Tbsp sweetener of choice

pinch of sea salt

 

1. Melt cacao paste and butter in a double broiler.

4. Place molds on a tray.  Pour or spoon into silicone molds, paper cups, or glass pan

3/4 cup coconut oil

3/4 cup maple syrup or sweetener

1 cup raw cacao powder

1/2 tsp vanilla extract

 

1. Melt coconut oil.  Lowest heat setting or in a double broiler.

2. Whisk in maple syrup or sweetener of choice

3. Whisk in raw cacao powder

4. Stir in superfoods

5. Pour chocolate mixture in chocolate molds, paper cups or glass pan

6. Immediately place in freezer.  Ingredients will separate if you are too slow.

Raw White Chocolate

 

160g cacao butter

1 tablespoon smooth nut butter

1 cup erythritol powder

1/4 tsp sea salt

1 tsp vanilla extract

 

1. Melt cacao butter in a double broiler.

  1.   Stir in nut butter, sea salt and vanilla.

2. Add sweetener to taste.

3. Add superfoods to taste

4. Place molds on a tray.  Pour or spoon into silicone molds, paper cups, or glass pan

6. Let cool, then place in fridge or freezer until hard (20 min)

 

Superfood Ideas

 

Happy Hearts

  •          3 tsp reishi powder
  •          ¾ -1 tsp chili powder (to taste)
  •          ½ - ¾ tsp cinnamon powder (to taste)

Tangy Citrus

  •          3 tsp baobab powder
  •          2 tsp lucuma powder
  •          ¼ tsp orange zest

Chaga Power

  •          3 tsp chaga powder
  •          1-2 tsp maca powder

 

 

Minty Chocogreens

  •          1-2 tsp chlorella
  •          ½ tsp peppermint extract

Choconut Crunch

  •          ¼ cup ground nuts
  •          ¼ cup cacao nibs
  •          1-2 tsp mesquite powder

Tahini seed crunch

  •          ½ cup tahini butter
  •          ¼ cup ea sunflower and pumpkin seeds (roasted)
