Homemade Body Butter

This smooth and moisturizing body butter makes a great sure to make some extra body butter for yourself!

Homemade Body Butter






  • 1/3 Cup Shea Butter
  • 1/4 Cup Mango Butter or Cocoa Butter
  • 1/4 Cup Carrier Oil - jojoba, sweet almond, etc
  • 3 Tablespoons arrowroot powder optional - prevents product from feeling greasy
  • 36 drops Essential Oil (1% solution) - lavender, geranium, frankincense (12 drops ea) or pre-made blend of choice

How to Make It

Melt butters in a double boiler In a small bowl, whisk the arrowroot into the carrier oil and add to the melted butters.

Stir to combine. Allow to cool for 30-60 minutes and then add the essential oils. Whisk with a fork until it appears “whipped.”

Scoop the body butter into a jar and seal with a lid. Store at room temperature about six months. (if bacteria isn’t introduced to the mixture via dirty hands)
