A fast, no-fuss Halifax-style donair bowl made using a pre-made donair kit. You crisp up the meat and potatoes, toss in rice, then build it fresh with greens, falafel, veggies, and a tangy lemon tahini drizzle. It’s hearty, fresh, and hits that sweet spot between comfort food and summer salad.

1 tsp olive oil
1-2 small potatoes, pre-cooked
Donair meat (from the bowl)
1/2 cup cooked rice
1 tsp dried oregano
Salt, to taste

Pre-made falafels
red onion, thinly sliced
cherry tomatoes, halved
Lemon herb tahini sauce

Heat a pan over medium-high heat and add a splash of olive oil.
Add the donair meat and potatoes from your pre-made bowl. Let them cook until they start to brown and get a little crispy on the edges. That’s where the flavour comes in.
Sprinkle in some oregano, then add the rice. Stir everything together and cook just until heated through. Finish with a pinch of salt and adjust to taste.
Now build the bowl. Start with a base of fresh salad greens. Spoon the warm donair mixture right on top so it slightly wilts the greens.
Add the falafels, then layer on sliced red onion and cherry tomatoes.
Drizzle generously with lemon herb tahini sauce, then finish with crumbled feta.
