Position: T02 Repack Clerk
Location: Head Office/Repack
Full Time/Part Time: Full Time
Desired Start Date: ASAP

This is an entry-level position for the repack manufacturing department. The ideal candidate is driven, professional, and eager to learn. T02 Manufacturing is a fun, friendly, and fast-paced department. Successful candidates will have an “others come first” attitude, and understand that the success of the department is dependent on everyone pulling together.

Select Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:

  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by using proper food handling skills and food safety guidelines
  • Must be able to follow CFIA, GMP and Organic Certification standards for food handling, inventory tracking and certified organic food processing
  • Package and label all products in a diligent, professional and efficient manner with minimal waste
  • Visually inspect food products to ensure the highest quality is maintained and report any ingredient or label changes to the supervisor
  • Remove and report damaged products
  • Pick orders quickly and accurately
  • Log and maintain production tracking sheets
  • Clean work areas and equipment
  • Operate semi-automated packaging equipment

Select Qualifications Include:

  • Previous training in basic food safety and handling is ideal but not required provided that candidate displays enthusiasm and willingness to train
  • Task and detail oriented
  • Must enjoy and be able to succeed in a fast-paced work environment
  • Able to handle heavy loads, repetitive tasks
  • Able to work independently and within a team

Job Title: Soap Packing Clerk
Description: The soap packing clerk will be responsible for packaging and labelling bars of soap within specified lead times. The ideal candidate is focused, detail orientated, and disciplined.
Responsibilities Include:
• Package and label soap bars within set lead times
• Log and maintain tracking sheets for work completed
• Clean work areas and equipment
Select Qualifications Include:
• Must be able work independently
• Must enjoy repetitive tasks
• Task and detail oriented
• Able to communicate clearly and professionally with coworkers and management
• Must be able to carry, lift and/or move up to 25kg (55lbs) with ease throughout shift
• Must be able sit or stand for long period of time while labelling
Position: Full-time Lead Baker, Bakery Commissary 
Job Summary
The Lead Baker is responsible for mixing and baking ingredients according to recipes to produce appropriate quantities of baked goods for sale as specialty baked goods at Community Natural Foods and for the supervision of bakery personnel; duties include planning, organizing, scheduling and directing work, training personnel where necessary.
Select Requirements
• Red Seal (or equivalent) certified with at least 5 years industry experience.
• Experience with organic and alternative baking ingredients.
• Strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on communication and leadership qualities.
• Manufacturing experience with volume production would be an asset.
• Enjoy working as part of a team and have the capacity to work independently.
• Be fully engaged with product development and embracing new ideas and trends
• Supervision of bakery personnel; duties include planning, organizing, scheduling and directing work, training personnel where necessary.
• Recommends equipment purchases.
• Responsible for ensuring that all staff follow procedures and adhere to food safety regulations and best practices.
Position: Full-Time Cook, Bakery Commissary 
Responsibilities Include:
• Check products for quality and identify damaged or expired ingredients. Evaluate quality of food ingredients and prepared foods.
• Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment.
• Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc.).
• Cook food in various and appropriate equipment.
• Set stove, grill and ovens to appropriate temperatures and adjust as necessary.
• Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen
• Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
• Check quality of ingredients
• Monitor stock and place orders when there are shortages
• Evaluate the quality of the raw materials to ensure that standards and specifications are met.
• Check equipment to ensure that it meets health and safety regulations and perform maintenance or cleaning, as necessary. Maintain production or processing equipment.
• Adapt the quantity of ingredients to match the amount of items to be prepared and cooked. Determine food production methods.
• Operate slicing and wrapping machines.
• Maintain inventory and production records

Position: Full-Time Dishwasher, Bakery Commissary 
We are looking for a dedicated, organized dishwasher who enjoys working as part of a team in a fast paced environment. The Dishwasher’s duties include the cleaning and sanitizing of all soiled cook, bake and flatware from the kitchen, washing them thoroughly, and restocking for the next use. They may also restock items, support with loading / unloading delivery trucks, help prepare cook stations, clean appliances and machines, empty and clean trash receptacles, and other duties, as needed.
To be successful as a Dishwasher, you should be a committed, communicative team player with excellent time management skills. You should be able to prioritize tasks in a busy setting and adhere to all food safety regulations and procedures.

• High school diploma
• 2-4 years of experience preferred
• Strong communication skills
• Certified Food Safety certification
• Positive attitude
