1% for the Planet represents a global network of businesses, individuals, and environmental partners tackling the most pressing environmental issues. As part of our partnership with them, we donate 1% of every Elixir and Artisan Tea sale to value-aligned organizations that care as much about the planet as we do.
The Cumberland Community Forest Society
We’ve proudly raised over $79,000 in funds to support the Cumberland Community Forest Society (CCFS). CCFS is a champion of land conservation in the village of Cumberland, BC, and surrounding region. Their efforts directly support ecosystem health, environmental stewardship projects, as well as strategic leadership in regional watershed protection, sustainable economic development, and community climate resilience efforts. To date, CCFS has acquired over 550 acres of land, protecting it through conservation covenants.
Planet-Friendly Packaging
In 2023 alone, our packaging choices diverted over 72,000 lbs of waste from entering landfills and kept the equivalent of 17,463 plastic bottles from entering the ocean. Our Artisan Teas are packaged in carbon-neutral, compostable bags and our Elixirs are packaged in canisters made of compostable cardboard that is lined with PLA (Polylactic acid) made from soy.

To ethically sustain our production level, Harmonic Arts works with various vendors from herb brokerages to small farmers worldwide. We will always prioritize vendors that have organic and traditional growing practices because they are inherently regenerative and harmonious with the environment. Organic cultivation promotes vitality and diversity within the agricultural ecosystem, including soil organisms, plants, and people. We firmly believe that these practices produce the most potent herbs, mushrooms, and superfoods, all while ensuring they can continue to grow for generations to come.

We are proud to source our functional mushrooms from the pristine mountainous regions of China and the birch forests of Siberia. These regions have a long-established history of traditional mushroom cultivation with rigorous quality standards. The organic farms we partner with pride themselves on cultivating fruiting body mushrooms using mediums that closely resemble a wild environment. This method ensures the mushrooms receive plenty of nourishment and will go on to produce a fruiting body with the essential polysaccharides needed to support human health.
