Like all great stories, this one is a tale of love. In the early 1990s, the founders of Lotus Foods were travelling through China. They stumbled upon a dish made with “tribute rice” and fell in love with the flavour. In 1995, they started to import black rice to North America. As Lotus Foods grew, they began using their rice to create delicious products, including their flavoured rice crackers.
